Earth Stewards

What is Earth Stewardship?

Lothlorien is what its members make it – a community canvas based on expressions of art, spirituality and science. Shrines form and disappear all the time, new projects are dreamt of and started while others eventually return back to nature in some form or another.

Earth Stewardship is just that – coming to the land and working it, shaping it, transforming it – you get the picture. There’s a lot more that goes on out at Lothlorien other than just festivals. Some of the things that people come out to work on include but aren’t by any means limited to:

  • Gardening
  • Landscaping and lawn-care
  • Path clearing
  • Fixing up and improving existing land structures and shrines
  • Building new structures and shrines

After a hard days work people tend to gather at someone’s site or at the Long Hall where a pitch in is put together and people can relax for a few hours and talk before returning to their homes. Oftentimes if we’re staying, people just stick around and talk, play music and just have fun well into the night.

That’s pretty much it in a nutshell. Lothlorien is what we create together. It’s an alternative community of free thinkers and environmentally conscious citizens. Artists, doctors, engineers, professors, manual laborers, construction workers, musicians, scientists – people from all walks of life are here helping to shape Lothlorien into what it is and what it will become tomorrow.
